Imagine Little Tokyo Awards Ceremony

I'm thrilled to announce that my short story "Divided" received honorable mention in the 12th Annual Imagine Little Tokyo Short Story Contest. The story will be published in the Discover Nikkei this upcoming week on Thursday, June 12th, so stay tuned!

Today (June 7th) at 3 p.m. PST, there will be an awards ceremony for all the winners, and Ji-young Yoo, Rosie Narasaki, and Toshiji Takeshima will provide dramatic readings of the winning short stories in the English Adult, Youth, and Japanese categories. It's free to attend online or in person, and you can RSVP HERE.

I'll be there online, and I look forward to hearing all the wonderful stories that were a part of the contest. Congrats to all the fabulous writers!

I'll be one of a panel of authors that includes Krista D. Ball and EPL's Writer-in Residence Rhonda Parrish to talk about everything you always wanted to know about pen names and ghostwriting but were afraid to ask. We'll be talking about the advantages and drawbacks of writing under a pseudonym or being a ghostwriter (which are not the same thing). Bring your questions and settle in for what is likely to be an animated discussion.
